engagement season!
engagement time is upon us!
It shouldn’t, but always does, surprise me when December comes and all of a sudden everyone decides that their wedding must.be.booked immediately - lining up all their vendors with a promptness not matched throughout the rest of the year. It’s a fun rush, I’m always glad to get my schedule finalized and set…SOOO what’s this mean? here’s some incentive for those of you still on the fence about your photographer - through mid January I’m offering an engagement session complimentary with any wedding booking - just mention it when you inquire with me + I’ll include it in your contract. Easy Peasy!

a fall of family sessions!
If you’re a client of mine, or been hanging around here or my IG for any amount of time, you know I’m slow to share images of other people’s kids…but sometimes, *just sometimes, I’ll feel super inspired to share. Why now? I feel like I am always saying, “I don’t advertise for families, blah blah blah” but I’m going to, just for a second! I have loved the sessions I’ve been able to shoot this fall + want to always invite anyone following along to have me shoot your family photos. For the first time in the past ELEVEN years, I feel like I’m on the other side of a big parenting hill. I’m past those teeny baby moments, and onto the middle years of….a different sort of hard parenting :) I’m cherishing getting to see Mama’s enjoy a snuggle or playfully play with their toddlers in a way I don’t have so much anymore.
So, for now, I’ll share a few images that I’m hoping more of you want to recreate!

Little known fact: I went to the College of Wooster, but it wasn’t known to any of us when we first talked about their November (2022!) wedding back in the summer (of 2020!!). So that’s been fun to compare experiences about such an important part of life. More known fact, possibly: my husband also went to Wooster, so we’re big fans of Wooster couples! It was great to see the campus now, I swear it’s a whole lot nicer than when we were there!

I loved Rachel + Ryan’s wedding - always love getting to experience a new (to me) shooting venue. We had shot there engagement session at Alum Creek Farm back in summer 2020, when the sunflowers were in bloom - it was amazing, and their wedding day certainly didn’t disappoint.

Per usual, the year has absolutely flown by with no slowing down in sight. I will never get sick of shooting in the flower field here - and June time is absolutely my favorite time of year. So much light. So much warmth.
