summertime
favorite images from wedding photography in Columbus ohio by Jessica love photography.
Back in this (fun, hard) endless cycle of: Shoot all the things, edit, edit, edit. Oh wait, let me share what I’m doing because I need work for next year!AHHHH! Self employment is a lot! As we get used to here, if you stay and scroll long enough (stay! Scroll!) here are some of my favorites from all the good I’m getting to see this year. It’s been such a good year to step into the “trend” of couples and families wanting as much of a natural, candid look and feel for their photos.

it’s clearly not summer here, but as soon as wedding season is in full swing, it’s easy to forget SUMMER proper is not until June 20! But, what we have time to share now are some recent favorites from all the beautiful weddings I’ve been a part of! I hope their happiness and comfort shines through!
another monday, another weekend faves
This is just such an easy and effective way to get new work out there - aren’t you (echo across the internet valleys…you..you…youuuuu) looking forward to it every week!?
I loved getting to check out Overlook at Astor Park - a new to Columbus venue that is just so beautiful. If you’re looking for a venue - check this one out!!
film v. “looks like film”
two males perform a unity ceremony during their reception at the Franklin Park Conservatory.
story time: half of my inquiries come through mentioning something about being excited for FILM…and similarly 50% of my responses go ….without response. it’s an interesting situation! The second part of this comes as a visit to our local camera shop, and dropping $100 on 5 rolls of fresh film to get me through a weekend! See where I’m going here? When I send out my pricing, my pricing reflects that shooting film comes with additional aspects lots of people don’t think about!
My point is only that shooting film isn’t just an editing style for me. It’s something I incorporate into every aspect of my wedding and portrait photography. One of the best compliments I’ve ever received is a potential client telling me, after viewing a full wedding gallery, that seeing film made her realize she never knew how much she wanted film to be a part of her wedding! If film is something you’ve thought about for a long time, or just now because you’re seeing and reading it: let’s do it! Let me help you understand how film can make your gallery and wedding day unique to you!

a collection of first favorites from a Franklin Park Conservatory Palm House wedding in Spring 2025 by jessica love photography
I love sharing first favorites with couples early the next morning after their wedding. I know the pain of waiting on film - we snobbily only use film photographers for our family photos - so getting y’all something to view right away just is so rewarding (for you, and me!). Enjoy a few from this Palm House wedding, on Daylight Savings Sunday (waaah whhhhy do we do this to ourselves)!
I try to get a good mix of the entire day so you get a good feel for how your gallery will be! What do you think? Does a morning after gallery delivery sound like something that would feel good for your wedding photographer experience? Happy to chat if you think so! ;)
